Symbolism
A woman in a large hat, brown dress and yellow shawl stands in profile, her hands tightly clasped in front of her and her face turned aside. The posture is stiff and closed, that of someone swallowing a resentment. The card stands for wounded pride, jealousy and hidden hurt.
- Meaning
- Spite shows a feeling of rancour, envy or wounded pride that is being kept in silence. It can come from outside, like someone else's envy, or from within, like a hurt that has not yet been resolved. Next to another card, it tints it with resentment and shows where hidden rivalry lies.
- Love
- There is jealousy, resentment or an unspoken hurt that pushes people apart. Talk about what hurt instead of responding with coldness or hints.
- Work & money
- A rivalry or a colleague's envy may disturb the atmosphere and cooperation. With money, do not let wounded pride lead to decisions you may regret.
- As a person
- A resentful, envious or jealous person who hides what they feel.
- Advice
- Acknowledge the hurt, talk about it and let go of the grudge before it hardens.
