Symbolism
Two men grapple in the middle of a fight, one with a cane raised and the other with a barrel organ on his back. The image shows open conflict, tempers clashing and an argument getting out of hand.
- Meaning
- The Quarrel indicates friction, argument and heated tempers: a disagreement that may blow up if handled in the heat of the moment. It does not ask you to win, but to breathe, choose your words and settle what is at stake. Next to another card, it brings tension and dispute to its theme.
- Love
- There is a risk of arguments and words said on impulse. Pause before replying and come back to the subject when you are both calmer.
- Work & money
- Conflicts with colleagues, bosses or clients may arise, and friction hurts productivity. Document what matters, keep a professional tone and avoid money decisions made in anger.
- As a person
- A hot-tempered or irritated person, or someone you have an open disagreement with.
- Advice
- Take a deep breath, avoid replying in the heat of the moment and seek a calm conversation.
