Symbolism
The Hierophant sits between two pillars, in rich robes, his right hand raised in blessing and his left holding a triple cross. At his feet, two kneeling disciples and two crossed keys recall that sacred knowledge is handed down and that there are doors to open. The number 5 is mediation between human and divine, the tradition that teaches and also challenges.
